Ireland..Donegal and Cliffs of Moher

Donegal is a small town on the west coast of Ireland about 2/3 from the top.  We stayed at the cute bed and breakfast called Haywoods B&B, within 15 minutes walking distance to the heart of the town. For some reason I just loved that in the center of town there was an old castle with a moat around it.  Nothing feels quite like a historical town than a place that has a moat.

One of the (many) churches we stopped by.  This was just outside of Kinsale where we stayed.

Cliffs of Moher
We ended up walking about 7 miles of the cliffs so if you are planning on going were good shoes and appropriate clothing (layers recommended).
More Cliffs of Moher (I crack myself up)

Towards the end of the 7 mile hike, Cliffs of Moher

Cliffs of Moher

The wall of Derry, you could still feel the struggle between Protestant and Catholics in this city which was rich with history of their struggles.

Moat surrounding a now church in Donegal

Entrance to a shaded walk along the water in Donegal (It was particularly hot and the shade was much appreciated.)

The walk in Donegal

Stone Circle in Donegal, pretty cool but not what I was expecting

One of the many cemeteries we came across, this was in Donegal along the water

Other side of the moat and church in Donegal

Totally normal to see a cow along the walkway in Donegal
